Testimony, call and ministry

Fady Nouneh - Senior Pastor, Fairview Alliance ChurchBorn to a Catholic father and a Greek Orthodox mother, and raised with Maronite and Baptist grand mothers, I accepted the Lord as my personal Savior at age 17, on December 28, 1979, in the Evangelical Baptist church (Lebanon). John 3:16 was my verse: For God so loved Fady… Saved at least 3 times from death during the war in Lebanon, God prepared me to serve Him starting with my theological studies in the Arab Baptist theological Seminary in Cyprus in 1987.

He used me at school, university and the bank where I worked for 10 years (1981-1991). Many accepted the Lord, 3 of them are now pastors, 1 missionary. After getting 2 B.A.s in Accounting and Marketing in Lebanon, I finished my M.A. in Theology and Doctor of Ministry degrees by correspondence, while working and serving the Lord in Montreal, with Bethany Bible College, Dothan, Alabama (1992-2000).

Married to Ramona Makna in 1985, the Lord blessed us with 2 children, Noelle (1986) and Roy (1991). Roy Nouneh, son of Pastor Fady and Ramona Nouneh Ramona accepted the Lord at age 20 in Noelle Nouneh, daughter of Pastor Fady and Ramona Nouneh Lebanon. For 3 years after her conversion, she was persecuted by her parents who tore her Bible and Christian literatures and forbid her to talk, even to her brothers and sisters, about the Lord. Finally, they let her attend the Evangelical Baptist church, on Sunday only.

Ramona worked as a secretary in the ministry of telecommunication in the Lebanese government for 12 years during which she got her B.A. in law in 1984. Then, in 1987, she decided to study theology and serve the Lord with me. She got her diploma in music at the University of Montreal, her B.A. in theology, and now, she is finishing her Master of theology degree at the "Faculte de Theologie Evangelique" in Montreal.

We came to Quebec, Canada, in 1992. From a Bible study at home with 2 people, the Lord helped us to start an Arabic church. Today, more than a 100 people attend the worship service on Sunday. I baptized 40 people in the last 7 years. At the same time, Ramona and I were managing a U-Haul storage and truck rental center in Montreal.

With the Arabic church, we are leading and serving in an English-French student group, an English Bible study, and a Turkish-Arabic ladies meeting.

Beginning September 2006, the Lord has opened for us a great door to serve Him in Fairview Alliance Church. We know that the Holy Spirit will glorify the name of our Lord Jesus Christ through our ministry and accomplish His eternal predestined plan.
